PTA Meeting and Merit Award Distribution

The PTA General Body Meeting 2026-27and award distribution ceremony for the meritorious students of the 2024–2026 B.Ed. batch were jointly organised at the auditorium of PKM College of Education. Dr. Veena Appukuttan, Associate Professor in the Department of Social Science and PTA Secretary, delivered the welcome address. Mr. Alex P. R., PTA Vice President, presided over the meeting. Dr. Veena Appukuttan presented the PTA Annual Report for the academic year 2025–2026. Principal Dr. Prasanth Mathew delivered the principal’s address and distributed awards and certificates to the students who had achieved academic excellence in the 2024–2026 batch.

As part of the programme, Mr. Nithin Nangoth, motivational speaker and HRD trainer, conducted an awareness session for parents on “Gentle Parenting.” He highlighted the importance of approaching children with love, patience, and empathy. He also explained ways to improve children’s behaviour through positive communication and mutual understanding rather than punishment. The session included practical suggestions to support children’s emotional development and foster warm, healthy relationships between parents and children. The meeting concluded with the election of new PTA office-bearers, with Mr. Santhosh Kumar T. P. elected as the new PTA Vice President.
