“ChatTEA – Human Library”:Interaction Programme

As part of the Share Your Spare Movement, P.K.M. College of Education, Madampam, organised an interaction programme titled “ChatTEA – Human Library” on 31 July 2026 at 11:30 a.m. to provide teacher trainees with an opportunity to interact with inspiring personalities from different walks of life.  Mrs. Shyla Shaji, a native of Sreekandapuram and a selected participant in the World Masters Athletics Meet to be held in South Korea, interacted with the students and shared her inspiring life experiences. Her journey highlighted the importance of perseverance, dedication and self-confidence in overcoming challenges and achieving one’s goals. The interaction motivated the students to face adversities with courage and determination. The ChatTEA – Human Library initiative promotes the idea that every human being is a book waiting to be read, encouraging students to learn from the diverse experiences and journeys of people around them. Mr. Biju Thomas, Ward 21 Councillor of Sreekandapuram Municipality, honoured Mrs. Shyla Shaji by presenting her with a shawl and conveyed his congratulations and best wishes. Dr. Veena Appukuttan, Associate Professor, Department of Social Science, presided over the programme. Ms. Deepa John, Librarian, welcomed the gathering, and Dr. Sinoj Joseph, Assistant Professor, Department of Physical Education, delivered the vote of thanks.
